mid century buffet & chair

Yesterday was certainly op-shopping Friday. I found a mid-century teak dressing table in perfect condition ... detached the mirrored part and voila ... a gorgeous buffet/credenza. I'm planning on reusing the mirror also - it is also in perfect condition and is framed in a lovely shade of teak.

The result ...
The other Friday project was this office chair which I bought in a very sorry looking state for $3, sitting out the front of an op-shop last tuesday.
I polished up the wood with wood polish and then yesterday bought a dress for $8 in a funky black and white print and we recovered the cushions ...

I think it looks pretty good for a first attempt!
We learnt some valuable lessons though for future reupholstery endeavours - such as take a photo before you disassemble said furniture.
